I used max image url for firefox and transferred the photos to my phone via pixeldrain. after downloading, the thumbnails of the download appeared to have the patreon blur filter completely removed. If anybody smarter than I knows a better method for extracting thumbnail exif data I'd love to hear it.

install "image max url" for firefox. then right-click on the patreon image, there will be an option that says "try to find a larger version of this image" or something to that effect. it will display a blurry image, but much more detailed than the one displayed on the patreon page. it works better on some than others, and with this one for some reason the image presented itself in the thumbnail when I transferred it to my phone, in my downloads folder. that part I can't really explain.
