I use Chrome's DevTools. It's a bit "advanced" but works for DM and stories. here you can get an idea of how to use it. Then just click the Inspect icon in the top-left corner of DevTools, pick image/video, find in properties src or href, open in new tab and save. It's also possible to see loaded images/videos in network tab and saving from there

On firefox there's Video DownloadHelper extension that works in a much more simple way
