It's not possible to "penetrate" the cervix (going through). There is a reddit discussion about this and one user writes: "Those dildos are soft and bends inside." which seems to be the most plausible explanation to me.

Nurse here. That is part of the explanation. The other part is that there is an area just past the cervix called the fornix. Likely 2 things are happening.
1. The dildos bend inside the vaginal canal.
2. the dildo stretches out the fornix area as deeper penetration occurs.
