What youTube downloader do you recommend is the best.
The problem with clipgraber, it's now been taken over by malware/junkware, unless anybody knows where I can get a reliable source from.

Standalone tools (Windows mostly):
ClipGrab: EZ tool for publicly accessible stuff
JDownloader: The "Swiss Army Knife" of all downloaders and super versatile.
YT-DL: Verastile but clunky
GDownloader: User friendly with a GUI and includes YT-DL and other stuff.
ShareX: The best tool for screen/window capturing I've seen thus far. More useful than FRAPS imo. This is the sledgehammer approach when you just need to grab what you see even if it's not the original quality.
Browser Based:
Firefox/Waterfox: Video Download Helper, FVD (Flash Video Downloader), DownThemAll
Chromium (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave/etc): Video Downloader Plus, The Stream Detector, HLS Downloader, YouTube Downloader (UDL Helper).
If you have to use Android or MacOS, your best bet is to use an emulator and use the above tools imo. Mobile OS platforms have been cracking down on "valid" devices and modern software uses checks based on that to verify. It's difficult to get the original source material especially because many platforms use "snitch-ware" that embeds your personal info into content so they can track you down if you share it (looking at you OnlySnitches). It's the classic Weaponsmith vs Armorsmith story ad-infinitum.
