only the guys who hated her before are hating her even more, the rest of us doesn't give a shit. a million isn't as much as you guys think it is. I wish people would be as angry about PGA Pros cheating(there is an entire fucking list) as they are about Paige and Malosi. I don't like Malosi, but threatening his family and telling Paige to delete herself because of this is wild. And just a little edit, you should see this entire shit show as entertainment. No judges or officials, a PGA Player, and the treatment of Kwon(they ripped him a second asshole for nothing) at the beginning should have been enough to know.

I couldn't possibly disagree with you more. Whatever "hate" she or Malosi are getting is just the internet doing internet things. They both chose to go down the influencer/content creator career path and all of the love or hate they receive from the internet is to be expected, and therefor, it's deserved. I pay attention to Paige for what she looks like and nothing else. She can cheat and lie all she wants...just keep posing for the camera.

You saying that "a million is as much as you think it is" tells me that you have never played serious golf with legitimate money on the line. I have played in events with prize pools in the $30-40,000 range. It doesn't matter how much money you have in your investment accounts, you get nervous and your mental game and the feel that runs through your body totally changes when every swing/putt could be the difference in thousands of dollars. Professional golfers get nervous over $20 putts because they don't want to lose to their friend. Your competitive juices get flowing and as much as you want to earn the money, you especially don't want to watch your competitor get to celebrate on the 18th green. If you don't understand that, then you're just not an athlete and you've never played any sport under pressure.

Of course the whole thing is meant for "entertainment." What else would it be? That's literally the sole purpose of any sport we are watching on TV. But the money is real and the golf is real. They were trying to manufacture drama the entire event with Dave throwing extra money around to try to get the players to do something selfish for themselves and risk everything for their team. In the end, they didn't have to manufacture any of this drama because it happened on it's own with obvious and blatant cheating, and then tons of cringey lying to try to cover it up.

Kwon got everything he deserved. A pro golfer sleeping through a 9:30 tee time is inexcusable. He did it the day before for a video shoot with the Bryan brothers....obviously that's not a big deal because it's just a meaningless round for another boring video to fill up the week. But to do it two days in a row...and then other information came out that he has been doing that since he was in college...it just shows what an inconsiderate, spoiled, country club brat he is. He needs his mommy to wake him up and iron his clothes for him. This event had about as much, if not more money on the line than anything he has ever played for on the Asian tour or Korn Ferry. And to play it off like he didn't care showed what a clown he is. This was a team event, and he screwed the other people on his team. They would have easily won that match (had he been on time) and that would have changed everything for the afternoon round.

The online personalities that played in the invitational got exposed for who they truly are...Paige, Malosi, Kwon, and others. When they are on their own youtube channels playing their no-stakes hit-and-giggle golf, they can act and edit their content to paint any type of picture they want. But when they gave up control of the final edit to barstool, and submitted to the fact that there were like 50 cameras capturing everything, we all got to see their true selves. Character isn't determined by how people act when they know people are watching, it's how people act when they think no one is watching. All of that was scummy behavior....from people who portray themselves as happy-go-lucky, innocent, friendly people.

The only person happy about all of this is probably Portnoy. Dude is printing money right now. Should there be a II2026 there is going to be even more drama, because it sells, mark my words.
Oh I understand, I was an Archer and Handballplayer. But money was never my motivation but that is a me thing. I don't have to work for the rest of my life and should I have kids, they don't have to work. And don't get me wrong, I agree with you about the character stuff but they are entertainers and business people. They are never as nice in real life. I also don't understand why she did it in the first place, she is rich, her boyfriend is rich, he works for a bank, my family has bank accounts at, since over 100 years.

So you're so rich that you could play 18 holes of golf for $333,333 and you wouldn't even care? I find that extraordinarily hard to believe. And people who have money understand the true value of money. $333k properly invested turns into many millions of dollars decades from now. So to scoff at it as not being a lot of money tells me that you don't actually have money....your parents or grandparents have money and they give it to you. Because anyone that has worked for real wealth would always be happy to accept $333k with a big smile on their face. Especially when you're on the tee box and it comes down to your team vs another team....you're 4 hours away from either winning it, or the other team winning it. If you say "I don't care about the money" then that's just a loser mentality.

Who cares that her boyfriend is rich? Her and her boyfriend could break up any day now and even if he is a billionaire, he doesn't owe her anything. There is a satisfaction that goes along with earning your own way in life...and not just being arm candy for a sugar daddy. Maybe you just grew up being fed with a silver spoon and you think everything thinks the same way as you. She makes a good living, but she does not have generational wealth. She probably earns 1-2 million per year (and she has a short window to earn that much because eventually the hotness and freshness of her modeling wears off and people stop paying for it and brands stop asking her to post about their product), and you said it yourself...a million dollars isn't much money. You don't get many chances to make $333k from 1 round of golf in a lifetime...99.9% of golfers will never even get a chance to play for $3k.

The internet invitational will definitely become an annual thing. They did a very good job with it. The logistics of capturing all of that and cohesively putting it together over a handful of youtube videos was an incredible accomplishment. I don't like Barstool content in general, with a couple of exceptions, but they hit a homerun with how they pulled this whole series off. And I expect with all of the success it has had, next year the prize money will at least double, and they will get an even better cast of players to compete in it. Some of the influencers were dull and a waste of camera time. Those people will get cut and replaced with better personalities, and maybe some better players to make it even more competitive.

I would expect Paige to decline the invitation for next time around because she was full of shame with how that final round went. She cheated and lied and everyone knew it...and to make matters worse, once she got called out, her game completely fell apart and she didn't do enough for her team to win...same with Malosi. They had an advantage in an alt-shot format regardless of how good Dalke is...he had to play with 2 mediocre at best players. Malosi and Paige are both around scratch players and Frankie is a single digit handicap...in alt-shot they should have been able to consistently post pars and bogeys and put a ton of pressure on Francis and Beef to not get the shanks/chunks/yips and negate the advantage that Dalke has as a tremendous player.
