I'm not here to argue for the sake of it but look at it on the other side, this would put strain on the mods to police questionable content that can immediately be spotted by that someone with a dissenting opinion ( by removing the ability to see the post and report it).
Granted, I'd imagine this is a rare case scenario ( or probably non-existent ) since most of the quarrels here are high school level drama but somewhere in between, maybe there's an actual case of concern that again "might" escape the mod's sight because of the indifference shown here by folks who consume content.
But of course, I'm not delusional, they have the analytics for such hence why this change was implemented w/o ignoring that fact. Also the ability to not block mods is a big win so maybe that offsets it, but as I've said, it puts the strain on them even when you use AI and other tools.
