As much as people knock banging coworkers, it helps people see more of the "inner you" if that makes sense. Say you're an ugly fat dude, women's instant judgments of you will not be positive, but if you're charismatic and funny, repeated exposure from being a coworker, will allow her to give you more of a chance than you otherwise would get in any other situation. It's been proven in studies that repeated postive interactions with a man that women initially find unattractive, will make you gradually more attractive to them.

BUT I'm charismatic and funny. I find most female coworkers don't like me at first (early judgments of you will be nearly 100% based on looks), but after a few months things get flirty, then we hang out and things start happening.

75%+ of the women I've dated were coworkers. Granted, that always presents unique complications after the breakup, but if you're an ugly fat dude with a good personality, coworkers may be about the only place you have a chance.

It makes sense that it's a coworker situation. I've also had many women ridiculously out of my league that got corrupted by my slow-moving coworker charm.
