90% of modeling agencies will touch up photos digitally. So, yeah. it's safe to assume there was photoshop involved.

It's the angles and the setting.

She's looking over her shoulder and down with a black background and, it appears, she's wearing a black ribbon choker. I think the choker, together with the black background, gives the impression her head and neck aren't meeting up properly. It's a classic pose, but I think it's awkward from the angle chosen and her build - broad shoulders that don't slope as much as you typically see for a less athletic woman, so they kind of mess with the line. If she'd dipped her shoulder a little, I think you'd find the pose more appealing.

But, no, I don't think they manipulated her head in the photo. Probably did some kind of finishing, but all her parts are where they should be. 😄
