You ain't wrong. If I was scammed into paying the ridiculous high price for a video and got a Temu equivalent like this video, I'd be pretty sad with myself too.

Seeing a performance like you describe can be cute and all if the creator was in fact someone who only just started with this type of thing but given this is well into a point in time where you'd expect more of a performance, this is such a letdown.
