Reaction on the above comment, one from an account that has 100 posts more than me, but only a reaction score half as high, and the From an account with no content posts at all... Well, speaks volumes. Just cut out the bumps, like the content, when it IS posted, and everyone can be happy.

Yea, I'd assume the same is true for the useless bumping, roughly every 12h ... it's just plain annoying...

It changes the newest POST's(!) (not it's comments) post-time to "now", as such making it seem as if the post had just now been posted, so it shows up as "having a new reply" in your alerts and on your watchlist. (idea might be useful for request threads, every now and again, so they do get some attention, but for content threads, it doesn't really do anything, apart from annoying people into not posting new content for those leeching trolls
