From what I've seem, lot of people here actually sympathize on being addicted to porn and don't mind it, that was my thought not so long ago, the thing is that it only grows in a bad manner, it can get you depravations, because the normal is no long enough to get you hard, it can affect your relationships, it consumes A LOT OF TIME, but also I understand that is better than some other addictions, but lets all try to decrease our continuous time spent, I'm doing at least a 3-day break now to diminish my addiction, I think I'm getting way more productive and thoughtful

After a certain age, chasing after women, meeting new ones and dating such things become a mentally tiring practice, it's a consuming thing to socialize for sexual intercourse, why chase after dragons while dragons are in my screen.

These past months I've let myself fall into daily use and constant consumption. Life conditions don't help, with depression, loneliness and general uncertainty in life. I also deleted Reddit, so I've been using this forum a lot more. Another problem is that I have a crush on my cousin and I keep searching for models that remind me of her... ugh.

It goes that if someone isn't bisexual, or has no natural pulsion towards violent content, and is so desensitized by porn that they need something so different to be completely against their likes, then there's something wrong with their porn use. That's the extent of the connection between "trans, gay and violent" in the context of what I'm talking about.

I'm an average guy, earning enough money, nearly a million dollar networth invested in real-estate and stocks, stable job, not a body builder but in shape running 100 miles a month... and i can't get a date, can't get a match on tinder or bumble...
If i were into a fullfilling relationship, i would not need porn but everytime i meet a woman my age that i find an interresting potential partner, they "don't have time" to get a coffee, are "too busy", or whatever so porn is an alternative i guess

Right there with you man. Doing fairly well for myself (not as much as you, props bro!) studying to further my career, had gf for two years and was able to go porn free for months. I think it's the lack of intimacy.... broke up in December and have been wanking almost non-stop now smh. Probably need to see a therapist cause I've fallen into buying of and cams now... fuck.

My advice to you : Instead of paying for porn, invet that money into the stock market ( S&P500 ETF for exemple). It doesn't require a ton of money, just a little bit each month. If you look at historic paterns, on the long term, you will make a ton of money. It will seem extremely slow at the beginning but it will snowball and in 20 years you could be a millionaire.
My second advice : Buy some good running shoes and set a goal for yourself : next year you will run a half marathon and in 2 years you'll run a full marathon. Sport will make you feel better in your body and having a goal in a year will motivate you to achieve something.

Wow I forgot I posted this question! Thanks for the responses and I completely relate to much of these answers, especially the last two. I think porn for me is a last resort situation as well having a lack of intimacy in my life. Half self imposed, the other half not so much. Long story I'll probably share at a different time. I realized I had a problem blowing so much money on OF after I got a credit card. Pretty ashamed of myself for that honestly. Very ashamed...

Loool same. The CCs did the same to me. My goal is to just bring the relationship with porn back to a healthy state. Covid really, and I mean really increased my frequency from like 1x every 1-1.5 weeks to every other day almost.
