Was gonna ask about this if this ends up here, apparently also happening on *** if content is 18+.
What is the future of sites like this for us UK residents?

On X it's easy to circumnavigate in the account settings. Select a country outside UK/EU but more broadly it's a good question. Do websites get a notification to comply or is it on the owners to take the initiative? Would anyone even notice socialmediagirls.com?

I've seen Chatur' has a log in with a verified account option, but alternatively it seems card information is the other choice, as well as face scanning. Errrrr!?!

Soon it could be actual forms of photo ID, that's the point if my question, and yeah, I'd like to think nobody sees this forum, but if it's a sweeping thing, this place will be noted eventually...

This is a massive size, 7 mil accounts, its much larger than many independent porn sites

So yes in time.
But for now, it is much easier to go after companies that legally have followed laws for porn. Sites that have the following, 1) under their tax disclosure they are listed as adult entertainment, 2) they have a ledger of the people who make content and proof of their age. Probably more I haven't thought of, what that means is the Govts already have a contact list and a list of active domains. In other similar laws changes they send emails, and sometimes physical mail to inform them.

But there is another layer to this, most sites are not actively running a server at home, they rent server space and that company will have to comply with the law.
Meaning, even if site X does not do anything, their traffic is forced to comply as the servers are already complying. Going to take a guess here, I suspect many server companies will not host adult content, meaning porn sites have to rely on a smaller group of server hosts. So they will end up just complying with the law and not having to do anything at their end.

Very easy to get around these restrictions if you are on an Android Phone. Just download Opera Browser, and use it's built in VPN.

At the top of the list are 4 options. Optimal, Europe, Asia and America. Just use the Europe option.

Allows me onto PH, Xham, Reddit 18+. No problems.

I really hate the UK. What a shit country it is. They say it's to "Protect Children"... Bullshit. If parents did the right thing and "parented" their children, everything would be fine. No reason for the government to be sticking their nose into things.
