Sorry to hear about your father. Inheritance is different than income though. It doesn't matter how much money you make in a given year...everyone, literally everyone, would be thrilled to boost their income by $333,333. If you inherit a one time lump sum of a million dollars then yes, I agree, it is not "a lot" of money to think you can just skate through the rest of your life without having to work or earn a supplemental income. You can put it into a high yield savings or annuities account and make $50-75k per year to pay your basic bills, but you're one emergency away from ending up in the breadline. But my point is that very very very few people will ever have an opportunity to make 1/3rd of a million dollars from 4 hours on the golf course and regardless of how financially well off Paige or the other competitors are...a million dollars on the line are stakes that make anyone sweat.
The internet invitational will definitely become an annual thing. They did a very good job with it. The logistics of capturing all of that and cohesively putting it together over a handful of youtube videos was an incredible accomplishment. I don't like Barstool content in general, with a couple of exceptions, but they hit a homerun with how they pulled this whole series off. And I expect with all of the success it has had, next year the prize money will at least double, and they will get an even better cast of players to compete in it. Some of the influencers were dull and a waste of camera time. Those people will get cut and replaced with better personalities, and maybe some better players to make it even more competitive.
I would expect Paige to decline the invitation for next time around because she was full of shame with how that final round went. She cheated and lied and everyone knew it...and to make matters worse, once she got called out, her game completely fell apart and she didn't do enough for her team to win...same with Malosi. They had an advantage in an alt-shot format regardless of how good Dalke is...he had to play with 2 mediocre at best players. Malosi and Paige are both around scratch players and Frankie is a single digit handicap...in alt-shot they should have been able to consistently post pars and bogeys and put a ton of pressure on Francis and Beef to not get the shanks/chunks/yips and negate the advantage that Dalke has as a tremendous player.'' I agree.
