Off Topic Downloading YouTube videos that are removed an hour after they are posted?

There are a lot of content creators who post a video on YouTube and delete it an hour later. Unless you happen to be lucky, you'll probably miss the video. Is there a way to point youtube-dl at a content creator and have it sit there and wait for a video to be posted, then download it, even if it's posted when I'm asleep?
I'm not married to youtube-dl, so if there is another program that can do that I wouldn't mind using it.

you should be able to write a script to get it to check for new content every hour if there isn't a built in option

ill add my script if anyone wants to use it. im just using batch have a manual and auto that i use (im not well versed in programing this is just a basic one i made)

using playlist-items just to get most resent uploads can leave out to get all vids from the channel/playlist all you need is a txt file named Sub then add any channels/playlists to it

Please I have the same issue. I'm so pissed off!!! I forgot to screen record a youtube video and now it's deleted within an hour and it was a really good one. Can someone please retrieve this video for me

having youtube notifications on your phone helps, that way you can know about new videos anywhere you are.

Have you heard of 4K video downloader?
it's an app that lets you download a video in the highest resolution available on youtube. But that's just the start. There's another thing it does. Makes note of a channel you want to download videos from and does it automatically! interested? [think that's what you said you want]

You can tell the app about a channel your interested in. It will monitor activity on that channel and download a video as soon as it is posted on the channel. Whether you're in front of your pc/laptop or not (I'm not sure if they have a mobile version).

Just, make sure you leave your laptop open. it saves the video on your laptop, not on a cloud, so you need to have your machine running for it to work.
