Yes. The best free mobile VPN app to try first is Proton VPN Free.

Current free mobile practical options:

1. Proton VPN Free
Free plan: unlimited data, no ads, no activity logs, and no artificial speed limit.

2. Windscribe Free
Free plan: 10 GB per month with a confirmed email address, or 2 GB per month without email verification.

3. TunnelBear Free
Good only for occasional use.
Free plan: 2 GB per month.

4. hide.me Free
Good occasional use option.

Note, I don't use any of these. I prefer a more robust security suite with an add-on VPN.

Avoid:
Random free VPN apps with vague ownership, aggressive ads, or unclear privacy terms. A VPN does not magically make you anonymous. It shifts trust from your Wi-Fi provider or internet provider to the VPN company, which is why sketchy free VPN apps are privacy roulette with a worse user interface.

Here are some paid VPN's with better reputations than the free versions:
Proton VPN, Mullvad VPN, IVPN, NordVPN, and Surfshark.

As I said,, I prefer a security suite with an add-on VPN. You could look at Norton 360, McAfee Total Protection, Trend Micro Maximum Security, and BitDefender. Put some energy into your computer and mobile security, whatever you decide.

free product means you're the product. There's certainly no such thing as a free vpn.
