So to my fellow comrades who are into ASMR: what is it that makes your boat float in that?

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I honestly can't get those clicking sounds and quiet voices do anything to me, some models are super hot and I do enjoy watching them nude but the sounds? I leave them on mute

I'm just interested in knowing what makes it interesting to you, or to second me on that as well... Who knows ?‍

Agree with OP in that crunching, slurping, tapping on the microphone and whispering do absolutely nothing for me or anyone else I know.

Anyways I'm not judging who likes it I'm genuinely curious because there are so many girls doing it that there might be a reason for that...

Its just another way of rebranding things with something that is less objectionable than the former term applied. To quote showgirls.. "what you do here is honest they want tits and ass and that's what you give them. At the Casino they pretend to want art and culture, and you still give them tits and ass." So it is a less objectionable way of answering the question "what do you do for work?".." 'i'm in asmr" sounds better than " i talk dirty to a bunch of guys on the internet". I have heard that some people eargasm from it, but although accents are kinda kinky, if the lady with the accent is a slag it still really doesn't do anything for me personally. Anyways as soon as the stigmata sets in it will be called something else.

ASMR isn't exactly for sexual arousal, however it does happen. ASMR triggers come in many things like the sounds you mentioned some visual triggers can happen as well. When asmr does occur, for me at least, I get tingles in my head that then run down my spine and feel super relaxed. I can understand why people that don't get those tingles would think it's wired and some sexual fetish.
Sadly I haven't got actual tingles in a long time, the videos still do relax me though and I do still fap to some of the artists.

After realizing what ASMR is and how it effects people, I distinctly remember this scene from "Hook" relaxing the fuck out of me as a child, and it was always a favorite of mine for that reason.

ASMR is usually super specific and what works for others probably won't work for you. I don't get ASMR from anything sexual so I usually mute those vids and go elsewhere to actually relax.
