I've noticed in the forum many ripped videos suffer from heavy "stuttering" or dropped/frozen frames and sometimes a huge QR code is added to the top corner.
If you want an example go to the Ibis Smiles thread and you will see most recent videos stutter. Some of my videos also suffer from stuttering so I am pretty sure it is a issue with the video downloader extension in browsers. In my case I use VDH - Video Download Helpe for FIrefox and it has generated both stutters and added the QR code in some videos if you don't have the paid version.
I've download the same videos via both methods to confirm and yes the stutter was eliminated, so it was not a problem with the site or bad internet connection.
Bonus: this method works sometimes even if the extensions can't find the video, but now always either.
Most video streams nowadays use m3u8 file format and is not hard to save it with VLC, an app that most probably already have.
This tutorial makes it seem harder than it is https://www.tubeoffline.com/download-M3U8-videos.php . For MacOS is even easier, less steps and the same general direction.
The harder part is finding the link to the m3u8, there are 2 options:
Easy: most video download extensions give you the option to copy the link instead of downloading the file, look carefully and you will find, if not try another extension. With VDH you need to go see Details.
Harder: Network Inspector, all browsers let you right click and choose inspect elemt, than go to the network tab and there lives the m3u8 link. There is a search/filter bar at the top, type m3u8 there, you might need to reload the page if the video is already playing. Other option click on the XHR this will hide most of the non essential things. Lastly right click the link and choose copy -> copy url
This is firefox on a Mac, but it should look very similar to you.
With the link in hands just go to VLC and follow the tutorial, choose the file format as mp4, for some reason the first time on MacOS it always chooses .ts
Enjoy and share you vids later.
This thread has load of tools you can try as well, consider this method the last resort https://forums.socialmediagirls.com...-content-websites-softwares-extensions.13930/
