Well obviously it's going to depend on your setup. From the way people complain about not being able to download or see videos, and the sheer number of inquiries about how to do basic things on a mobile device like unpack compressed files and capture files from popular sites... it would seem quite a large number of people are doing all this from smartphones.I don't get the whole HD-thingy tbh. Even 480p is sufficient enough for these kind of videos and saves alot of space and bandwidth.
I don't even watch Hollywood-movies in 1080p![]()
That's something that doesn't make much sense to me. What the heck do you need porn on your mobile device for? You're going to be out and about and just all of a sudden have a wank at a moment's notice? And you really want that shit on a device that is easily tied to your identity, and easily lost/stolen/misplaced/hacked or even just used by someone else?
In any case, yeah, if you're watching this stuff on a screen that's not only not optimized for higher quality, but just happens to be roughly the size of your hand, of course higher quality video isn't going to matter much because you're not going to be able to notice much of a difference at that scale. Why do you think sites that offer different resolution downloads call the 144p/240p version "mobile"...it's not just to save space on your space-limited mobile device.
It's the same with any media. Of course you're not going to be interested in the highest quality FLACC file for your favorite songs if your mode of consumption is to just use the default audio player and speakers on your phone and prop it up on a table somewhere in a crowded area with the volume all the way up.
I don't know what else to tell you other than not only do people have different tastes, but more importantly your use case isn't everyone else's use case.
