Off Topic YouTube says my subscriptions have new content when they don't. Anybody else experiencing this?

this problem is pretty annoying. I will go to youtube and scroll my subscriptions, and about 1/3rd of them have a dot by their name, indicating they uploaded something new even when they haven't uploaded something in years. This is happened to anybody else? Is there a way to stop it from happening?
