You can root your phone and use modules to disable the black screen (flag_secure), but it's not worth it if you don't know anything about it. I saw some DNDs being recorded with an app called VirtualMaster, which doesn't need root. It basically creates a virtual system inside your phone, and then you can use any screen recorder. It seems very simple, but I never tried it.
