My bad, you're correct. As long as the creator has supplied Patreon with a VAT ID it is only applied to members payment and in no way added on the creator.

Just cancelled my subscription as I was due to renew tomorrow. I know since she “paused” it wasn’t charging members but from the way her page reads now it looks like it’s gonna charge for member renewal now. Still a large number of paying members subbed. It was around 3.6k at peak.

This is actually a plausible theory that I hadn't considered. Or at least it might play a factor into the overall reason. Personally, I've been leaning towards her boyfriend finding out how far she's gone and isn't comfortable with it, so he gave her an ultimatum. Either way, I'm pretty sure it's over. If she hadn't nuked all of her Patreon content, I'd still have hope. But she nuked it, with no warning and no explanation afterwards, and you don't do that if you're planning on coming back.

It’s almost certain that he’s trying to change direction, although his ego is so big that he doesn’t seem to care about the followers who have been paying for his content all this time (because he knows they’ll always be there, credit card ready).

In my opinion, the best thing would be to give him the same treatment: unsubscribe and recover the pirated material. The end of an era has come.
