You're relatively new, so I'll give you this. A new post is when you use the big box below, where it says "Write your reply" (yes, the wording makes it confusing, consider it a thread post); A comment is what this is, they're completely separate. An entire new post without content is against the rules, commenting on an existing post is not against the rules.
It's also a safe assumption that if a thread exists on here, than yes, people are looking for more content of whatever model.
This is especially true after the data loss a few months ago.
