just fyi, posting these direct links is how photographers are notified of the sudden flood of visitors to their page/people clicking download and then they shut it down. Especially if it's an account that's still uploading. best to post the individual picture links but that's a little more tedious.

Beyond volume the major concern is redirect history that comes from a porn forum. Just post without https:// and www. and it will show up as plaintext. Right click -> go to chill

I agree that posting direct image source links is the best way to avoid the view count detectors. Even if you removed the hyperlinks and the visits came from a new tab or browser, the counts would still increase.

Posting individual photo links will still increase the view count, all views on photos sizes larger than thumbnail will increase the view count.

The best thing, if one is going to post content from smugmug, is to download it and upload it elsewhere. And then also to remove anything that would help track down the source.
