I'm referring to the amount of dickheads who leave thank you or 'Bump' messages. It feels like a trip back 15 or 20 years ago. You really shouldn't need to explain what a like button is. Chat is one thing but the sheer amount of nothing added is impressive.

How many times have you got an update message for someones thread only to be faced with a post from someone who thinks we should all know that THEY liked a video that was posted two 'Bump' messages ago.

just chiming in, I'm certainly guilty of giving appreciation messages and meandering rants, but while I can understand why someone would prefer to keep things content-only with no conversational fluff, I do think positive feedback serves a purpose, something personal and not just a generic, sterile, "like." and now, the Ric Flair "Whooo".... Whooo !
There's a big difference between talking and bumping or thanking like a moron. Use the thanks button. Common sense shouldn't be too hard to come by.
