Does anyone know how to record a livestream from instagram? And I don't just mean screen recording. Is there an actual way to grab the video while its being streamed live to download with a program or anything else?

1. Install this app "Live Cat"(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/live-cat/). There is a version for chrome . It gives you link and use this site - https://mediatools.cc/ (mediatools dot cc). Your download is not done through the site itself, but through a script. This removes the issue of authorization. The downside is that sometimes the video breaks.
2. Hardcore variant - PyInstaLive - https://github.com/dvingerh/PyInstaLive - But there are many problems with authorization, Instagram often blocks the account.

there is this new app called StreamRecorder
This app accepts connection with the Instagram account so it is possible to download even from private accounts as long as you follow them.
I think it's a very good app because it downloads the live cache, so even if you play it in the middle of the stream, it will download it from the beginning.
It had a function to automatically start the download as soon as the stream started, but unfortunately it hasn't been working for the last few months and the dev hasn't fixed the bug yet.
Other than that, the manual download works fine and the feature to download the live from beginning is brilliant!

eu uso ele normalmente, nĆ£o tomo nenhum block ou shadowban do insta, na verdade sĆ³ uma vez eu abri o insta e apareceu uma mensagem dizendo que eu deveria fazer um teste de captcha pra confirmar se eu nĆ£o era um robĆ“, depois disso nunca mais aconteceu de novo, nĆ£o acho que dĆ” ban, sĆ³ esses avisos de vez em quando sĆ³ pra confirmar que o dono da conta existe
