I mean, there are people here like me who always overlook when Caesar has edited his post to include new content for the week, so I find it useful when someone pays attention for me and drops a comment to highlight it. It also means Maimy is actually posting content, so I say: stay clog, ponyboy. I'd also rather see comments like that over complaint comments, Ya KNOW?

Thanks for the amazing 3D renders. I have really enjoyed them. When I watch them, however, it seems like the videos are playing in slow motion (maybe like 70% speed). I am using heresphere and an oculus rift. Is thos intended? If not, do you have any ideas about how I might correct this?

Hm, I'm sorry to hear that.. they play fine on my Quest 3 streamed through my WiFi network, and also when watching them directly on my PC using VLC, no slowdown - also, they all play at regular speed through the GoFile video player. Based on that, I'm assuming that your overall setup is missing speed or processing power somewhere. Especially since they play at normal speed in the GoFile player.

If you've been trying to play the 2160p version, I recommend trying the 1080p instead, since the rift has a resolution of 1080x1200 per eye. If that is also running slow for you, than I only have one other theory.. I encode these video using x265 to keep the filesize low and the quality high, but x265 is harder to process than x264. I recently finished the 1080p conversion of 2021-10-24_Cozy Halloween Night, and I've uploaded 2 versions, one encoded with x265, the other with x264.

If the x265 version is slow, try the x264. If the x264 version works, then I recommend downloading Handbrake and using it to recode the videos to x264.

Do you know if this works with smartphone VR headsets,? I can get it to play but it's not moving so kinda like in cinematic mode. Do you have a recommended player for Android?

These are just video files, but they have a very high resolution. The HD version is essentially two 1920x1080 videos side by side and 4k is two 3840x2160 videos side by side.. So the device that plays them is going to need to be powerful enough to play either a 3840x1080 max video for HD, or 7680x2160 max video for 4k. Due to the autoconvergence, my conversions will always be slightly under the max resolution, but for ease of discussion I always refer to the max. (For example, Wholesome Confession was 3676x1080 instead of 3840x1080)

My first VR headset was an Oculus Go, and it had a problem playing some 1080p HD 3D videos. It was running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. The Quest 3 has no problem playing the 4k files, and it's using the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset. So check your phone chipset.. the older it is, the less likely it has the power to play the videos. You can always try using handbrake to recode the HD versions by half the resolution (take it from 3840x1080 to 1920x540, or 960x540 for each eye).

Probably not safe long-term, but pixeldrain has been useful for me for larger files.
I am saving most alt-versions of maimy videos there for some kinda of backup.

Hm, I considered them, but in their Q&A the following applies to their free accounts

"Files will be removed if they have not been accessed for 120 days. When a file is downloaded the expiry time is reset to 120 days from the current day. This only happens when someone downloads more than 10% of the whole file in a single request. So if you have a 5 GB file the timer is only extended when you download at least 500 MB. The expiry timer is not updated when it was already updated within the last 24 hours."

While I think 120 days is better than GoFile, it still isn't guaranteed long-term, and 3D content is kind of niche to rely on continual downloads. They also have the daily limit for downloaders which can be annoying, although someone with a VPN can get around that if they want. Still, they might be the best option currently.

How about her 2022 "Return" video where she showed a LOT more than in any previous video minus the epic live stream we got...is that one at least upscaled?
