Off Topic Thoughts on House of the Dragon?

It had an OK start and a lot of promise but the creators really need to shut up about it. Adding unnecessary outside context and making it mirror real world at the moment only damages the world building not to mention it will age like milk.

I'd rather a sequel rather than a prequel. Im going to give it a try tho, but am waiting til all the eps are released first. Dont have the atience to wait a whole week for a new episode

There was some crap about about abortion and women's rights in the US, because as we know - living in the medieval times is much easier and people have more freedom. Episode was supposed to show how terrible it is that the baby wasn't killed instead of the mother, she didnt gave consent and king is a bad man. I think this is more of really bad Hollywood-type marketing and the show probably just wants to tell a decent story but... after season 8 you never know they might shit the bed at any moment in terms of writing.

Another entertaining Episode of House of Dragons tonight I must say. 6 Months has passed since the first Episode and King Visery is being torn before Otto and Coryls on who's Daughter they should wed for his benefit. Jesus I forgot Coryls's Daughter is 12 and hearing that she can be 14 and that is when the King can get her pregnant made me sick to my Stomach because this is how it was done many Years ago. Lol Rhanerya thought her Father was going to go with Coryls's Offer but choose her best friend Alicent boy that was a hard pill to swallow and seeing the Preview for next Week those relationships is going to die even further now that the King has a Son with Alicent. Rhanerya is clearly torn as well she helped her Father immensely having Daemon give back the Dragon Egg and not having bloodshed, and she was all for her Dad rewedding for the benefit of their futures if something happens down the road and it blew up in her face. It should be interesting what happens with the King with the problems he will have with his Daughter, Coryls, and Daemon. Can't wait for next Week's Episode it's going to have plenty of action go around!

I really like Matt Smith as Daemon, he was such a great Doctor and it's good to see that he is able to do other roles.

I haven't watched the 2nd ep yet but I was not satisfied from the first one. Cheap production and the script not good for my taste. Let's hope it will get better
