Hello everyone! :)

This post does not contain any content or files; it is a utility post aimed at improving the forum's development. I have decided to create a tool to enhance file management and ensure their longevity. Many users upload high-quality content, but it disappears or gets deleted/banned shortly after, almost immediately or within a few hours. This prevents all interested users from accessing it and leads to its loss, as it generally represents an effort for those who take the time to upload and share files. The quick deletion discourages people from contributing.

Specifically, I am talking about a platform widely used here for uploading and later sharing files, which is Gofile. This platform is one of the most utilized in this forum mainly because it offers excellent upload and download speeds, allows file previews, has no limits on the size of uploaded files, is not blocked by most countries or browsers, and provides a very good monthly bandwidth of 1 TB/month. The major drawback of this platform is that files last, at best, just over 10 days, and most are reported/deleted within a few hours.

In light of this problem, I have created a free tool hosted on the Huggingface platform, whose main goal is to back up the content from Gofile links to prevent it from being lost. Its use is very simple: we go to the Huggingface space, paste the Gofile link to be saved, and the tool downloads all the content and creates a backup on the Pixeldrain platform, ensuring more persistent and secure storage.

I have conducted a study on the advantages and disadvantages of this project:

Strengths
  • Any forum user can use this tool for free to "save" these ephemeral Gofile links. The tool is available 24/7 and is accessible worldwide.
  • There is no bandwidth consumption (1 TB/month) for users running the tool, as the bandwidth is covered by the Huggingface platform, along with file storage, RAM, and processing power.
  • I have implemented a system that changes the file identification without affecting its integrity or content, protecting them from bans if they have previously been banned on Pixeldrain. This is known as ban hash.
  • Unlimited storage, since Pixeldrain has no storage limit. It simply restricts the number of files stored to 10,000. But when that happens, I will think of something to continue using this tool if you like it.
  • The tool has a log/history to check all the Gofile links that have been processed, as well as the alternative URL where they are now backed up. It also has a duplicate log so that if someone wants to back up a previously backed-up Gofile link, it can indicate that and not be processed, saving time for users and the file storage limit.
Weaknesses
  • It is true that the links last a minimum of 60 days, which can be extended if they are actively downloaded. Although this is much better than just a few hours or days, the availability of the files will not be eternal, even though it will considerably improve the availability and manner of sharing files among forum users.
  • Pixeldrain limits, such as the 6 GB download per day, apply and affect users, making this a negative point. However, if you have a Premium or paid account on Pixeldrain, this may not be an issue for some.
  • Gofile backup limit of 1 TB/month. If a backup exceeds 1 TB, I suppose the tool will stop functioning until the beginning of the new month when this limit resets.
In my opinion, it is a useful tool aimed at improving the utility of this forum. It serves as a complement to the Gofile tool to take advantage of it and enhance it. I will continue to think of improvements and try to make it more useful.

I encourage you to try it out, and I am open to any suggestions, ideas, or enhancements. Before finishing the post, I leave you with a tutorial link on how to use it, featuring some test links obtained from the forum, so you can see its usage and interface, although it is very simple.

Update March 7, 2026:

The tool is unavailable because the Pixeldrain account associated with it has been banned :BannedPepe:

:mad:Once again, people are boycotting users who share files and create tools to build a community and a better forum

First of all, thanks for your work. Would it be possible to link the tool to other filehosts like filester, etc. or is it a api thing that only works for pixeldrain? thx

Hi! That’s a good idea. The tool/script is currently set up to upload/move files from Gofile to Pixeldrain only. However, I think I’m going to update it and stop using Pixeldrain, since it causes a lot of problems with reports and complaints, and on top of that, they’ve recently tightened their ban policy—the minimum ban is now 3 months. As for Filester, I don’t have much information or knowledge about that storage server, although at first glance it seems interesting. The problem is that they don’t have a public API, like other services, which makes things difficult, since we’d have to reverse-engineer it to try to create something similar to an API. For now, I’ll try to fix the Gofile issue, since they recently changed their upload/download method, and until I fix that, I won’t be able to implement the Filester part or other services. I’ve currently put this project on hold because I’m working on another interesting one, which I hope to implement maybe this Sunday. However, I hope not to leave this project abandoned for too long and to fix and subsequently implement the improvements you’ve suggested.

Best regards!

Project Update: April 18, 2026

Following the interesting suggestion from user Jojio7 and the latest changes and limitations to the Pixeldrain service, I’ve decided to change the focus of this tool and update it. It’s currently up and running; I’ve made a series of modifications and believe everything is working perfectly. The tool’s functionality and purpose remain the same: to back up Gofile link files and move them to another server Fileditch where they’ll last longer, all using Hugginface’s infrastructure (RAM, processor, high-speed internet, etc.). It’s an easy-to-use tool; I might make a video tutorial for beginners in the coming days. I invite you to try it out and give me your feedback. Here’s the link

Cheers!

Project Update: April 23, 2026

Hello! Since I recently updated how this tool works, I’m making this new post to explain the changes I’ve made. The main purpose of the tool is to create a backup by “moving” files that are hosted on Gofile links. Anyone who uses Gofile knows it’s a reliable website for uploading and sharing files: it’s free, offers good upload/download speeds, and has no file size or file count limits. However, the main problem is that its public links last for a very short time — at best a couple of days. It’s not clear why this happens (reports, a file-analysis system using hashes or AI…), but it’s a significant problem when sharing files on this forum among ourselves. That’s where this tool becomes necessary. Recent changes:

  • Updated to be compatible with Gofile links in 2026 (it works for now; there may be future changes on Gofile requiring the script to be reviewed and adapted).
  • Removed Pixeldrain as a “backup account.” It caused many problems with API keys, daily bandwidth limits, anonymous reports, account/IP bans, and a 60-day expiration. I decided to replace it with a new server, Fileditch. This service allows uploads up to 25 GB without registration. I believe it has no bandwidth limits and files uploaded there don’t have an expiration date. More info about the service:
In short, I think this project has improved by adding Fileditch as backup storage. This strengthens the project’s goal of “saving” and preserving the content from Gofile links. Nothing has changed for users regarding the project’s hosting infrastructure: it still uses a Hugging Face space, a reliable site running 24/7 that doesn’t consume users’ bandwidth or computing resources (RAM, storage, CPU). It also takes advantage of that infrastructure’s fast internet speed to perform the “movement” of files between Gofile and Fileditch.

The future and stability of this project will depend on how Fileditch evolves. These free, unlimited cloud storages are interesting, but due to lack of funds and resources they sometimes shut down. In the short term I don’t plan to replace Fileditch unless I am forced to because the service has closed, gone bankrupt, or tightened its policies.

I invite you to try the tool and give me your feedback. Finally, here’s a link to an updated video tutorial on how to use the tool:
