Off Topic Best JRPG of all time?

This might be nostalgia talking, since I’ve been craving a remaster or just some way to play through on a modern system - Lost Odyssey comes to mind for me… The themes of loss, family, and memory are handled with surprising grace for a JRPG about immortal warriors with amnesia, and the writing in the side stories is some of the best, most human and most poignant written prose I’ve seen in the medium.
It’s truly a shame that there isn’t a way to enjoy it on a current platform, and it’s a hard recommend to anyone who has the time and means to play!

My only regret is I have but one vote to give each of you. It looks like Chrono Trigger is the clear favorite. I must ashamedly admit I’ve never played it. However I recently got my Steamdeck and have been loading it up with ROMS. I’ll have to give it a playthrough soon

Shadow Hearts: Covenant. - Most amazing JRPG story.
.hack//-very good story, very bad grind especial outbreak fk virus cores.
.hack//GU- good story and gameplay.
Lost Kingdoms- very good hidden Gamecube game, hard to find aswell.
