Glad everyone has already mentioned Chrono Trigger, which holds up incredibly well. I play through it once a year, probably.

Recently, I think the Xenoblade series is a cool eastern/western hybrid RPG. It def has JRPG elements, and is worth checking out!

Another one I'd say is Legend of Dragoon, definitely needs a remaster I reckon

So happy someone mentioned it. Favorite game of all time. With some tlc a remake could be something truly special.

Legend of Heroes: The Trails in the Sky just had so much going for it, one of the best reasons to own a PSP at the time.

Have to shoutout FFX-2 just for the combat system alone, really enjoyed that.
