Note that creators will still be able to post explicit material, this is probably because of their difficulty in securing funding from outside investors, and pressure from their payment processors, similar to what happened to phub. They want to ensure that only verified adults are able to post explicit content, so that minors with access to credit cards don't send dick pics to creators for ratings, or post other content that contains unverified material

Onlyfans is digging its own downfall, they gave way to thousands of women to become rich selling content that most of the time didn't live up to their subscribers' expectations, this new market they helped to create is huge and has a lot of money involved, in this The vacuum left by them will surely emerge other platforms, and don't forget those women who got used to earning easy money didn't let go of that bone so easily.

If a competitor arises I really hope they'll allow previews even if its just pics of content. I always thought it was bullshit how Onlyfans had everything locked behind a paywall. You have to go in blind when subbing unless the creators themselves post previews on Twitter.

Also there should be a minimum that creators have to post per month to avoid scammers who barely post content. If they go one month without activity, their profile gets labeled "inactive" though you'll still be able to sub if you want.

The article that I've seen was horribly written and not at all the full truth. Content creator verified with OnlyFans can continue to post sexuallly explicit material. Nonverified users can't post sexually explicit material. That's all.
