Off Topic Pornhub Just Deleted Seven Million Videos Of Unverified Content

I think porn "hubs" or tube sites as we know them are dead. Not only because there starts to be a massive liability for hosting/distributing potentially underage or non-consensual content (how do you regulate that if you don't know who the amateur "actors" are in the video?), but it's very clear just by looking at how the front pages of these sites have changed even in the last few years that the only porn you will be "allowed" to watch will be professionally produced black male on white female porn with heavy and obtuse racial messaging, or some sort of porn where there is a incestual element at play (can't two people just fuck on camera and not call it daddy/daughter/brother/sister? Seems odd how much that is pushed).

It will have to switch to places like this with temporary external hosting sites where we can curate content from individual girls onlyfans/patreon/whatever it will be in the future, or by torrent trackers.

BTW maybe a bit unrelated but old xhamster albums that were deleted can still be accessed via cached copies on yandex (if they were cached). Had a 50% success rate of accessing old gone xhamster albums by finding a cached copy (by searching the title of the album on yandex) and the inspecting the saved copy for image URLs. It might be a similar case for pornhub.

While some of you are regretting not downloading your videos.. I’ve been molded by regret. My atmosphere of regret dates back to the limewire and ares era when I accidentally downloaded some of the greatest amateur porn ever made. I mean, I have shamelessly spent hours digging through sites and I will never be able to find them again. Let this be an example to you all. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Someone posted a MEGA somewhere awhile back somewhere with all the deleted shit. I never got a chance to DL the MEGA cause I was on vacation and just had a mobile on me and it was gone by the time I got home. Did anyone get it by any chance? Don't ask where it was posted, I dont have a clue where I seen it. Could have been a fake link idk. It took forever to load the MEGA on my phone so i just exited without seeing anything inside.

More than half of the site's videos have been removed after a report revealed how much content featured sexual abuse and/or minors.

Pornhub, the world’s largest porn website, has deleted more than seven million videos from its website as part of a new ban on unverified content.
Videos taken down from the website appear to represent more than half of Pornhub’s content, with just under 5 million videos currently listed on the site compared with the 13.5 million that Motherboard reports were available over the weekend.
The move comes following a report published by The New York Times earlier this month, which found that Pornhub was hosting content depicting sexual abuse and involving minors

With 3.5 billion views per month, Pornhub is estimated to be the 10th most visited website in the world. However, according to outlet, by failing to properly moderate its content the site effectively ‘monetizes child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, racist and misogynist content’.
Following the article, Mastercard and VISA both announced they would no longer accept payments through the site, pending an investigation into whether the site was hosting illegal content.
In a blog post, a Pornhub spokesperson wrote:

As part of our policy to ban unverified uploaders, we have now also suspended all previously uploaded content that was not created by content partners or members of the Model Program.
This means every piece of Pornhub content is from verified uploaders, a requirement that platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Twitter have yet to institute…
In today’s world, all social media platforms share the responsibility to combat illegal material. Solutions must be driven by real facts and real experts.
We hope we have demonstrated our dedication to leading by example.

he policy will also be implemented on other sites owned by MindGeek, which is the world’s largest pornography distribution company, The Verge reports. VISA had previously confirmed that it would block payments on all explicit content sites owned by the company.

The move comes after Pornhub announced last week that it would ban downloads and begin shifting to allow verified-only content. From now on, uploads will only be permitted from official partners or members of the site’s ‘Model Program’. According to Motherboard, previously uploaded unverified content has been removed ‘pending verification and review’ – a process set to begin next year. The current verification process requires users to submit a selfie of themselves holding a piece of paper with ‘pornhub.com’ written on it, with the site saying the process will be enhanced in 2021.
