Off Topic Pornhub Just Deleted Seven Million Videos Of Unverified Content

Pornhub is stupid and making the same mistake every porn site has before them that they stole their audiences from and that's trying to be more than just a porn site. No one gives a fuck about a little porn community when it just comes to videos. The idea is simple: there is porn out there. It costs money. Most times more money than people would prefer to spend on porn. Said porn gets purchased and leaked onto the web for others to enjoy for free. Now tell me where pornhub premium and all that other tacked on garbage fits into this model? It doesn't!

To add to everything already said, that looks like a downsizing operation too, to "reduce" operational cost by slashing 4/5 of the stored content, (and the bandwith cost associated with)
From a brand point of view, there is no "community effect" to keep you loyal to pornhub compared to twitter, yt or FB, so good luck Pornhub, i hope it's a really strategic plan and the leadership will be held accountable for it.
I can't wait for the whining once the reports of frequentation, income will be released next quarter

It makes me laugh that the chan is better at policing content than pornhub was lol. That is a huge amount of videos to delete, I'm sure a lot of good and safe videos got deleted along with them too, a shame.

pornhub premium is what, manyvids + verified pornhub? They've been slowly nuking unverified content for a while and I know I'm not the only one that noticed the verified channel/video claim system they implemented. They became dominant off of stolen content, now they are trying to turn "legit"

Sad times for people who prefer amateur porn over pro porn. And since XVideos is owned by the same company as PornHub, I wouldn't be surprised if it follows the same path.

It's a shame, pretty much all of my favs from PH are now gone.

It is incredible how the statistics of my account in PH decreased, before I had about 2k videos seen and now it marks 500
More than half of the videos I consumed at PH were from unverified accounts and of course most of it was amateur porn, it is more successful than any video produced
It is becoming more and more common to find porn just to earn money, it's a shame ...

Just shrug and move on. Not much you can do. Unless you will try to change opinions and laws, but that will be a massive PR job. There is a fair amount of porn on Internet anyway.

It started when a girl that had been kidnapped was having videos sold on the site with a "verified partner" account PH admitted it not doing any real verification for any content on site in a tweet then tried to delete it and cover it up. News Investigations found that was not the first time it happened and lots of Cosby, weinstein , violence and hard drug use type content was also not being removed even when ordered to.

It's PH fault, apparently no more than 80 mods to review content as the largest porn site with millions of hours added every year, so nothing was getting removed ..

Welp there goes pornhub, one of the best sites to watch niche categories like cam shows, feet and videos lost in time. Seems like a pathetic way to pander to models and encourage people to buy their bullshit premium, no need to watch free porn when they can just delete it all and lock you to only their 3 minute clips locked behind a paywall. Luckily there are models like Lady Fyre, meana wolf and Sasha Foxx who have full hot videos on their pages. Guess it’s off to Spankbang full time
